２０１１年夏、日本全国から選ばれた水や川に関心のある中高生たちが集まり、水問題とその解決策について、２泊３日で真剣に議論を行いました。その結果を６人の代表者が５つのテーマについて発表しました。
Summer 2011, secendary and high shcool students who are interested in river & water were chosen from all over Japan. They gathered and discussed about water problems and their solutions in three days and two nights. Now 6 representatives of the people presented the results for the five themes.

1 How to decrease the victims of Water-related Disasters　（津波等の水に関する災害）
2 Hands-on activities at the river　（安全な川での体験活動）
3 Living together with aquatic life　（水環境や自然環境の保全・復元・再生）
4 River Connects Us　（暮らし、産業において必要な水）
5 Water conservation is part of Japanese culture　（水の歴史や文化）

第６回世界水フォーラムとは？ | About 6th World Water Forum 世界水フォーラムは1997年から3年毎に開催されており、水資源管理、気候変動、水関連災害対策、上下水道、水環境問題など世界的又は地域的な水に関する諸問題が議論されるとともに、水分野担当閣僚が参画する閣僚会議や水に関する展示会が開催されるなど、水に関する意思決定者、ドナー、専門家が一堂に会する世界最大規模の会議です。 ここでの議論の結果は、世界的な水に関する論調や国連機関・各地域・国家レベルでの今後の政策決定・プロジェクトの実施等に重大な影響を及ぼしていくこととなります。 Every three years since 1997, the World Water Forum mobilises creativity, innovation, competence and know-how in favour of water.
